The Garena's Garena first league (GPL) began in the month of May. It is a professional online gaming competition that lasts six months and includes more than 100 games. The GPL's first season includes six teams of professionals League of Legends players. These teams represent top players from respective countries. GPL match and its commentaries are broadcasted online. Fans can stream them via the GPL website. In the month of January, Garena announced the Garena Premier League's season two began on January 4th, 2013. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two teams that are new to Taiwan as well as Vietnam and Vietnam, which bring the number of teams to 8. The teams are AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Saigon Jokers, Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels.
