Cynthia Ann Crawford was born February 20, 1966. She is an American model, actress and a TV host. In the 80s and 90s, she was a popular supermodel and was a regular on magazines and runways, as well as in fashion shows. Then, she began acting and launched a company. When she was in her sophomore year at high school, she received an email from a local clothing store regarding modeling work and was shocked to find out it was a prank played by two of her peers. Crawford was contacted by a different store the next year to model for them. They also held an event for fashion. Roger Legel, a local photographer, approached Crawford to shoot her. He was in charge of taking a picture of another college girl for DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was selected as the first photo shoot. [9] She was encouraged to try modeling after the positive comments and pictures she received. She began with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. She participated in Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1983 at the age of 17 and was able to make it to the finals at the national level.
